Robert Irwin
A very bad cell phone photo taken of Robert Irwin being interviewed by Lawrence Weschler at the College Arts Association Conference this year in Los Angeles. Weschler's book "Seeing is Forgetting the Name of the Thing One Sees: A Life of Contemporary Artist Robert Irwin" was a turning point for me and my work in grad school. It was a joy to hear Irwin speak in person - he is a good story teller and turns out to have a great sense of irony and humor while imparting bits of wisdom.
